MusicNT

MusicNT exists to support the growth and development of original contemporary music in the Northern Territory. MusicNT is the non-profit member based music organisation for the Northern Territory representing, developing and servicing the Territory’s original music industry.

MusicSA

Music SA is a not-for-profit organisation committed to promoting, supporting and developing contemporary music in South Australia.

MusicACT

MusicACT provides access to all aspects of the music industry including legal advice, assistance to launch outside of the ACT or advance a music related concept, as well as political advocacy.

Music NSW

MusicNSW is a not-for-profit Industry Association set up to represent, promote and develop the contemporary music industry in New South Wales, in addition to managing a number of Music Development projects.

Music Tasmania

Music Tasmania, formerly Contemporary Music Services Tasmania (CMST), is the peak body for Tasmania’s contemporary music community. Music Tasmania exists to proactively foster a network of support for Tasmanian musicians and music workers across a broad range of genres and business practices.

Music Victoria

An independent, not-for-profit, non-Government organisation, Music Victoria represents musicians, venues, music businesses and music lovers across the contemporary music community in Victoria.

WAM

Passionately committed to championing Western Australia’s thriving music industry since 1987, WAM (West Australian Music) is the peak music body responsible for supporting, nurturing and growing all forms of contemporary music in WA.

Australian Copyright Council

The Australian Copyright Council is an independent, non-profit organisation that represents the peak bodies for professional artists and content creators working in Australia’s creative industries and Australia’s major copyright collecting societies.

Australian Songwriters Association

The Australian Songwriters Association is a national, non-profit, member organisation dedicated to the support of songwriters and their art, through providing avenues for encouragement and education of developing Australian songwriters, and recognition and promotion of our accomplished members.

Association of Artist Managers (AAM)

AAM brings together the industry’s leading music managers providing a peak body to address the issues facing managers and their artists.

Australia Council for the Arts

The Australia Council for the Arts is the Australian Government’s arts funding and advisory body. The Australia Council support Australia’s arts through funding, strengthening and developing the arts sector.

Australian Independent Record Labels Association (AIR)

AIR is a non profit, non government association dedicated to supporting the growth and development of Australia’s independent recording sector. AIR represents Australian owned record labels and independent artists based in Australia.

Australian Music Industry Network (AMIN)

AMIN exists to bring together and represent its members, the state and territory music industry associations, and by doing so create a strong network that provides a national platform for the contemporary music industry in Australia.

Australasian Music Publishers Association (AMPAL)

AMPAL represents Australian and New Zealand music publishers and works on behalf of its members to promote a better understanding of the value of music, both culturally and economically.

Australian Music Radio Airplay Project (AMRAP)

AMRAP is a community radio initiative that distributes and promotes contemporary Australian music to community radio stations nationwide.

Australasian Performing Right Association / Australasian Mechanical Copyright Owners Society (APRA|AMCOS)

APRA|AMCOS license organisations to play, perform, copy, record or make available its members’ music, with royalties distributed to its members. APRA|AMCOS advocate on behalf of music creator’s rights and the Australasian music industry locally, nationally and internationally.

Arts Law Centre of Australia

Arts Law is Australia’s independent national community legal centre for the arts, a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee.  It provides free or low cost specialised legal advice, education and resources to Australian artists and arts organisations.

Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA)

CBAA is the national peak body for community radio stations. The CBAA provides leadership and support for our members to facilitate independent broadcasting services and to build and strengthen local communities.

Country Music Australia (CMAA)

CMAA recognises and promotes excellence in Australian Country Music and represents all aspects of the Australian country music industry.

Music Council of Australia (MCA)

MCA, independently and in partnership, gathers and provides information, conducts research, undertakes advocacy, ensures representation in relevant forums, and initiates and realises projects that advance musical life throughout Australia.

Ministry for the Arts

The Ministry for the Arts is the Australian Government’s arts and culture policy body that delivers programs and policies that encourage excellence in art, support for cultural heritage and public access to arts and culture. The Ministry for the Arts is part of the Attorney-General’s Department.

Phonographic Performance Company of Australia (PPCA)

PPCA is a national, non government, non-profit organisation that represents the interest of record companies and Australian recording artists.

Sounds Australia

Sounds Australia is Australia’s music market development initiative, established to provide a cohesive and strategic platform to assist the Australian music industry access domestic and international business opportunities. Sounds Australia is a joint initiative of the Australia Council and APRA|AMCOS, supported by the Federal Government together with state government agencies and peak industry associations.

Support Act

Support Act is a hardship fund for career musicians, and those who support them behind the scenes, who have no other means of assistance when illness or injury affects them. It is a music industry benevolent fund and aims to provide timely and effective financial help in cases of genuine hardship.
